Gabe Horwitz, Vice President.

Gabe Horwitz joined McBee Strategic in August 2009 after more than 8 years of government experience. Prior to joining McBee, Gabe served for 4 years on Capitol Hill where he was most recently Legislative Director to Rep. Doris Matsui (D-CA). There he managed the Congresswoman’s current positions on the House Energy & Commerce and Rules Committees as well as her past position on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. Gabe’s portfolio also included energy, transportation, agriculture, water, and appropriations issues. In this capacity, Gabe also served as the liaison for the Congresswoman to the California Democratic Delegation. Previously, Gabe served as Senior Policy Advisor to Rep. Marion Berry (D-AR) where he managed the Congressman’s positions on the Energy & Water and MILCON-VA Appropriations Subcommittees. He also worked for Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-NC) where he managed energy, transportation, and appropriations issues as well as the Congressman’s position on the House Agriculture Committee. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Gabe spent four years at the Dewey Square Group where he managed the daily activities of various national public affairs campaigns for both trade associations and Fortune 500 Companies. In this role, he developed and implemented strategy with executives and consultants by utilizing grassroots and grasstops tools, targeting specific Members of Congress and statewide elected officials. Gabe is a native of Chicago, IL and has an AB from Dartmouth College. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Jessica.
